Bassoon shapes: I use a Hertzberg shape or a medium shape slightly smaller and a Knochenhauer style shape.

Contra Shapes: I use the Fast shape from Fox, and three shapes called California, Chicago, San Francisco and the Fast shape is called New York.

Bassoon & contrabassoon reeds are not tied with twine. A special glue is used. This saves the time and expense of wraping. These reeds are played in the San Francisco Symphony, Opera & Ballet. Thin tube wall available on request for shaped bassoon cane. Cane used is California grown.
